Current law allows you to start driving lessons 3 months before your 18th birthday. The driving licence exam itself can only be taken once you turn 18.

The Vulcan Value Centre route (Vulcan Value Centre car park, near Calea 13 Septembrie and Rahova — one of the most balanced in difficulty), the Colosseum Retail Park route (Șoseaua Chitilei), the Pantelimon / Gara Cățelu route (Antilopa) and the Mall Grand Arena route (Bd. Metalurgiei). In Ilfov county: Palatul Copiilor — Str. Secerei, Parc Bazilescu — Str. Olteniei and Parc IOR (Pod IOR) — Bd. Liviu Rebreanu.

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 07:30 – 16:00 (last candidate admitted at 15:30). Wednesday: 07:30 – 18:30 (last candidate at 18:00). Friday: 07:30 – 13:30 (last candidate at 13:00).

Once you finish the course you can sit the driving licence exam. If you cannot do so straight away, you have 12 months in which to take it.

Medical certificate — 1 year. Psychological assessment — 1 year. Criminal record certificate (marked "Driving exam") — 6 months.

The medical examination is carried out at authorised clinics, not at the school. We will recommend the centres, so you avoid queues and hidden fees.

After enrolment the next step is the theory course (road law lessons at the Nelit office). Once the road law course is complete, the driving lessons begin — time behind the wheel with an authorised instructor.

The day after you finish the course you can go to the D.R.P.C.I.V. office to sit the theory exam. When you attend the theory exam you are also given a date for the practical test, subject to availability.

You need to take at least 3 extra lessons, after which you receive a certificate that lets you rebook the practical test. You do not have to sit the theory test again.
